THE WORLD NEEDS LEADERS

Team leaders are vital to the success of NGC. To get started, each team needs at least 3 leaders. Here's what they do:

• Coordinate fellow team members
• They each take on a key area of support – fundraising, advocacy or community education – for your Global Project.
• They keep NGC posted on your team's challenges and successes.
  

What are the qualities of an effective Team Leader?

• Works to incorporate all members' ideas and opinions
• Sees strength in others - empathetic versus feeling sorry for people
• Possesses a passion to make right the global problems of today
• Ready to dream great dreams
• Leads through persuasiveness rather than force
  
• Committed to developing leadership in others
  

Think of who you know that can serve as an outstanding NGC Team Leader and ask for his/her support!

Team Talk: Consider how one current NGC Team Leader describes leadership within her team:  "I think that our team is small and we are kind of all leaders.  Essentially, we all lead different aspects.  I've learned that sometimes it's important to divide up the work and let people have their strengths.  One [member] does crafts, I contact businesses...we are good at what we each do."
