The Team Approach

New Global Citizens believes in the power of young people to change the world, and we know The NGC experience is all about teamwork and collaboration. You can see this in many aspects of our organization, from our strong international partnerships to our unique staff culture to–most importantly–our NGC teams across the country.

Our program structure is comprised of high school teams which can be formed by anyone, anywhere in the United States (and beyond). Students build a team by recruiting members on campus, educating members about global issues, and selecting an NGC project to support for the year.

Teams plan and execute extraordinary events, from dodgeball tournament fundraisers to rock concerts promoting awareness of global issues. NGC team members develop leadership, planning, organization, and communication skills along the way to becoming social change agents.
