Sarah Lalani
Throughout my four years with NGC, I worked on projects for my local community, Sudan, Zambia, and India. Many people are surprised that students can be this involved at such a young age. I ask them, "Why are not more students involved?" We all have a duty as a collective humanity to look out for the betterment of our brothers and sisters. Hopefully, in the years to come, I will take my leadership, management, and organization skills to continue making change on local, national and global levels. That is fierce passion manifested into real, tangible results. Working to create social change is a life long goal for me; it did not end the day I graduated from high school. I intend to achieve this goal with a premier education and my passion for creating change.

Janessa Schilmoeller
I am a rising senior a St. Catherine University, the nation's largest college for women, in St. Paul, MN. I study International Relations with a focus in the Middle East. I am co-president of our school's Amnesty International group, and I am a coordinator for the America Reads tutoring program in the Twin Cities. I recently returned from my second trip to the Middle East and am eager to travel to South Africa and Namibia for a class in dismantling racism. I am currently working at an international leadership camp in upstate New York.
Starting and leading NGC has given me the courage and the confidence to take initiative in other areas of my life. When I attended college, the Amnesty International group had died out. Since I already had the experience of starting up NGC, I felt confident and inspired to re-start the Amnesty group, and it has since flourished into one of our honored clubs at St. Kate's.
