Start a Team
As a team, you can change the world.
WHAT IS A NGC TEAM?
A New Global Citizens Team is a group of young people dedicated to creating change in communities around the world. NGC teams consists of an average of 10-20 Team Members, at least 3 Team Leaders and 1 Team Advisor.
Young people can start a NGC Team on their middle and high school campuses. Teams learn about the World's Greatest Challenges, select one of NGC’s Global Projects and take action through Fundraising, Advocacy and Community Education.
Fundraising – raise the financial resources necessary to affect real change on the ground for their chosen project.
Advocacy – advocate on behalf of a pressing global issue.
Community Education – educate your community about the challenges faced by your Global Project.
Team Support
To help teams obtain their goals, NGC provides comprehensive education, training, and support to teams through full-time staff, interactive trainings, resource materials, site visits, and a vast network of peers across the country.
Team Impact
By the end of the year, NGC teams have a direct impact in communities around the world that are facing some of the greatest challenges of our time. We can only imagine the impact as these young people go on to become life-long leaders, community educators, and advocates for change on a global scale.
