Educators

New Global Citizen's program provides youth with a global perspective, an opportunity to create change, and the tools to act on their passion to make a difference.

How NGC Works

1. Students or Teachers in our program learn about NGC and lead the formation of their team on middle and high school campuses across the U.S. NGC teams can operate either as an afterschool club or through classrooms such as social studies, geography, science and leadership.

2. Teams focus on NGC's 10 Global Issue Areas, which are based on the United Nations Millennium Development Goals.

3. As a way to dive deeper into these issues, teams select from NGC's menu of Global Projects. Global Projects are grassroots, community led organizations working addressing one of the 10 Global Issues in their community.

4. Teams take action to support their global project by learning how to Fundraise, Advocate, and Educate their Communities on behalf of an  that is working to address that issue.

The NGC Team Experience transforms youth possessing an interest in global issues and activism into informed, effective, and empowered life-long leaders and advocates of sustainable global change.  The program aims to teach youth to understand, accept, and truly become an active citizen of the world. NGC students learn to think in a way that transcends borders and is dedicated to impacting global, regardless of geography.
