NGC Supporters
NGC Supporters are organizations that are supportive of the NGC mission and vision and seek to support the passion of our student teams and the capacity of our alumni to impact global change beyond their NGC experience.

Global Leadership Adventures (GLA) provides NGC students the opportunity to travel, experience life in different communities, and participate in direct service learning experience.
GLA is an international community service program for high school students ages 15 to 18. Student participants spend 3 weeks of their summer in Brazil, Costa Rica, Ghana, India, or South Africa. GLA is unique because of its focus on learning first-hand about global issues and human rights. Community service projects vary based on the needs of the community – but all programs include working alongside local people on programs that they have identified as being important.
New Global Citizens works with GLA to offer our participants the opportunity to travel abroad and see firsthand the challenges NGC Global Projects address.

Santa Clara University partners with NGC Global Partner, Community Links International, whose mission is to connect the local with the global and help the Santa Clara delegation reflect on how consumption patterns, lifestyle, values and choices have a global impact.
Students will be involved in a few service projects including working at one of NGC Global Projects, Calpulli de los Ninos in Tlazcalantzingo, which is a community center that support child development and fosters community-based agriculture. After their experience with Calpulli de los Ninos, Santa Clara students will share their experiences with NGC students through the NGC Global Network.

The GPI is a ground-breaking milestone in the study of peace. Now in its third year, the Index ranks 144 nations according to their ‘absence of violence’. The GPI is composed of qualitative and quantitative indicators from highly respected sources, which combine factors internal to a country and external to it. The GPI was founded by Steve Killelea, an Australian international technology entrepreneur and philanthropist and the data is collated and calculated by the Economist Intelligence Unit.
