Climate change threatens to radically reshape human civilization. Alliance for Climate Education (ACE) has the facts for high school students–and solutions! ACE visits high school, at no cost, to deliver in-person, science-based, multimedia presentations on climate change in an effort to educate, inspire, and empower students to take action. After the assembly, ACE helps students take action by creating Action Teams at their schools, grants, scholarships, climate action toolkits, online communities and more.
Contact Sam McKelvie or call 510.251.5990 to book a presentation.
Independent Television Service's Community Classroom (ITVS) Community Classroom provides award-winning documentary film content and thought-provoking activities for educators and youth organizations. Community Classroom aims to bring younger, more diverse audiences to public media and to promote youth leadership in their communities.
Each season Community Classroom selects the documentaries from the PBS series Independent Lens that are most relevant to young people's lives, and works with an advisory board of leading educators from around the country to create innovative lesson plans, activities and film modules. These resources encourage and inspire the next generation to become leaders through extraordinary personal stories from their own backyards and around the globe.
